Important!
All CS102 grades have been entered in eLearning and final grades posted to MyBama.
EVERYONE needs to look at their grade postings in eLearning and make sure everything is posted and that everything is correct; especially people that had make-ups. Make-up scores were hand entered, so there is more room for errors. I have already had a few that have emailed to let me know that their make-ups were not posted at all. It is your responsibility to verify your grade postings and make us aware of any errors. We need to be made aware of all errors ASAP. It is much easier to correct things now, rather than after grade posting closes. Please take a look at your eLearning grades right now.
Additionally, people with make-ups that were unexcused had points deducted from their make-up scores. So if you took a make-up, but the score posted is 10, 20, etc points less, this is why.
When calculating grades, we used the following formula:
Exam 1 + Exam 2 + Exam 3 +Exam 4 +Exam 5 + Exam 6 + (Lesson Average) + (Quiz/Lab Average) = Total / 8
Note: I dropped one lesson grade for everyone, so average the 5 highest lesson grades to get Average.
Note: When averaging in the syllabus quiz, change it to a percentage first, ex. 170/170 = 100 %
Note: Once you get Total/8, you can add any bonus points to that total.(Bonus was awarded to those that had no make-ups excused/unexcused)
Final Grade: Take that total and compare directly to grade chart on the syllabus.
There are no additional opportunities for extra work/points, so please don’t ask.
