Course Description:

• This course is designed to be the graduate level course on Bio-inspired Computing and Networking. The course covers selected papers in Bio-inspired Computing and Networking . No textbook is needed.

Course Objectives:

After successfully completing this course, students will understand the fundamental concepts, the framework, and major components of  Bio-inspired Computing and Networking .

Text Book:

• No textbook is required. The instructor will provide the selected papers.

Prerequisites:

• none

Grading Policy:

• Individual-Project (50%).
• Individual-Project-Presentation (20%)
• Study-Presentation (20%)
• Class attendance and participation (10%).
• Total: 100
• A=[85, 100]; B=[70, 85);  C=[60, 70); D=[40, 60);  F=[0-40).
• Lose all points if missing deadlines, midterm, or presentation. No exception!

Course Policies:

Attendance policy: Each student is expected to attend all classes. The instructor reserves the right to check attendance and monitor class participation to use in computation of your course grade.  

Makeup policy: No late work is accepted unless you have an excusable reason (show doctor documentations).

Academic Dishonesty Policy: All assignments and exams are to be done individually.  You are encouraged to discuss problems in any assignment with your colleagues, but collaborating on specific assignments with students and/or copying solutions is expressly forbidden. If a student (team) is suspected of academic dishonesty, he/she (they) will be turned into the proper university personnel. An announcement will be made to indicate what resources are available for each assignment.  For more information, reference the Computer Science Department's guidelines.
